The Morton Safety Break (#SB01) is designed to replace erratic running pliers, this high-utility tool uses a unique push-block and pressure-button mechanism to deliver clean, effortless breaks on scored art glass.
The Morton Safety Break System utilizes a small pressure button placed beneath the score line to act as a precise fulcrum, focusing upward leverage exactly where needed. Meanwhile, a specially molded push block and dynamic running guide work from above to apply perfectly balanced downward pressure, guiding a clean, effortless break down the entire length of the glass.

Just place a score line over the button and apply gentle pressure with block. The score will run end to end for a perfect break with no rough or flared edges.
The Safety Break has three components: Running Tool, Push Block, and Button. The Running Tool was developed for use with the Portable Glass Shop and is the best breaking tool available to eliminate or lessen burs and flares.
The running tool is the most versatile part of the Safety Break. Most breaks can be made without the button... the advantage of using the runner in this way is a better quality break.
The push block and button are always used together... this combination is more powerful than the runner and works best with transparent glass.
